Dear friends in addition to what Renee wrote to all of us as our psychology consultant mentioned (I will post it here with her permission) could you look at this video from Critical thinking, please?

It is about loaded language being used by a guest speaker and destroying a person that has made progress, so we need to talk and be very careful that we do no harm. Thank you.

Building one another up in love and in the spirit walk together for the sake of the gospel.
If a speaker is for speaking and not preaching the same ol song and here to not bring dissenting words then why not. I will only say, considering I am sure we would not invite a current JW elder to give a discourse it may be good to consider the same feeling toward anyone from a religious group who has been a problem for any on the site in the past since it is this very issue that we seek to help people with, invitation to those any may feel are “questionable” should always be considered. The devil is always looking to devour those he thinks are easy prey, and among small groups he no doubt certainly has his eyes. I have unfortunately seen too much amongst multiple groups to not proceed with much caution
That being said I vote YES

As students of Gods Word we can learn from others. Br Rice and Carnegie from what I have seen do not seem to be hardcore Russellites. I have no objection to guest speakers. We learn from differing opinions. Take what agree with Scripture, weigh the inspired utterance with Scripture. As long as the speaker is respectful and not overly dogmatic.
My answer is yes. It would make our call more interesting. I would also love to have Eric Wilson, and David Aspinal on. I have learned a lot from their videos.
